Since 1978, the National Association of Vision Professionals (NAVP) has been focused on improving vision health services and developing professional standards for the field.
NAVP serves as a forum for its members to share ideas on vision conservation and on improving eye health of all people. Connecting through conferences, social media, and email updates, vision professionals are able to stay up-to-date with industry news and developments.
Providing a network of professionals, members are given opportunity to provide leadership on initiatives to improve and expand vision conservation and eye health programs nationally. Led by an elected board, NAVP holds itself to the high professional standards that it promotes across the field of vision care.
The promotion of educational programs for the public in vision conservation, eye safety, and eye health is one of NAVP's primary objectives. The organization also seeks to promote the development of professional employment standards and training programs for individuals preparing for careers in the field of vision conservation and eye health.
